Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in Malta Q1 2024

During the first quarter of 2024, the top five navigation and maps apps on the iOS platform in Malta displayed diverse performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and revenue trends, based on Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads ranging from around 420 to 640. Notable peaks included 640 downloads in the week of February 12 and 608 downloads during the week of March 18. However, the app did not generate any revenue throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 759 in the first week of January and gradually declining to 402 by the end of March. Like Google Maps, Waze did not record any revenue during this period.

Google Earth had relatively modest download numbers, with a high of 105 in late January and a general trend of about 80 to 100 downloads per week. There was no revenue generated by Google Earth in Q1 2024.

Maltese Roads Traffic Updates showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from just 10 in early January and reaching a peak of 84 in mid-March. The app’s revenue remained steady, fluctuating between $2 and $3 weekly.

MAPS.ME: Offline Maps, GPS Nav saw a notable increase in revenue, particularly in the weeks of February 12 and March 11, with $62 and $53 respectively. Weekly downloads were relatively low but showed an upward trend towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 28 in the last week of March.
